The Washington Post advised Americans Sunday that instead of a traditional season dinner, which now is unaffordable for a quarter of families, they should instead look to eating bugs. Yes really. Some celebrities say that they, and their families, just love eating bugs. Angelina Jolie and her children love eating insects- including scorpions and spiders- and have been doing so for years apparently. Bugs were, according to Jolie, part of of their regular household diet. Discussing her childrens’ taste for bugs the mother of six once said “They can eat a bag of crickets like a bag of chips”... 

It looks like Canada wants to be at the forefront of the bug eating trend. A Canadian company called the Aspire Food Group says it plants to produce 9000 tons of insects per year for human and pet consumption after completing construction of the world’s largest cricket food processing facility.
