Disturbing security footage shows the moment a Las Vegas daycare worker breaks the leg of a two-year-old boy, manhandling the child as other horrified toddlers watch.

Elicia Miller, 32, was charged with child abuse for the May 2021 altercation at Creme de la Creme daycare, which saw her pick up the unidentified child and slam him to the ground, grappling with him until his leg snaps. The video was first obtained by the 8 News I-Team.

Miller, however, will not serve jail time for the incident, after confessing and pleading guilty to attempted child abuse in June, receiving only probation, 50 hours of community service and an anger management class as a result.

‘They know what pain looks like and sounds like, and he … he was in pain,’ the child’s father told local outlet KLAS, referring to the footage captured by a security camera at the Las Vegas daycare.

‘I’ve never heard him cry like that,’ he said, adding that the tot has struggled since the encounter with a surgery, having to relearn how to walk, PTSD and behavioral changes.

‘He would shriek in a pitch that would break your heart,’ the child’s mother said.

The child also struggled with speaking after the incident, the parents revealed in a sit-down interview with the outlet.

The footage, first obtained by KLAS this week, was released Wednesday night by the network, despite efforts from the legal team of Creme de la Creme, which filed an emergency motion in court to prevent its release hours prior.

The motion, filed in Las Vegas Justice Court, was denied.

The footage shows a seemingly distressed Miller violently scooping the child off the floor of the daycare and carrying him across the room, his limp body dangling side to side as she holds him by his armpits.

The staffer then slams the child to the floor behind a piece of furniture, obscuring the camera’s view of the altercation, where she appears to grapple with the struggling child.

The clip at that point shows seven other toddlers at the daycare reacting to the situation, clearly in distress.

Hours later, the boy’s father arrived at the establishment to pick up the child, finding him distraught and shrieking in pain. He told KLAS that Miller told her of a physical encounter between her and his son, and apologized as he put his son into his car.

‘She like profusely, apologized. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” as she was walking by as I’m loading him in,’ he told the outlet.

‘And I … I just kind of brushed it off like, you know, like, I need … I need to go. I need to take care of him.’

Shortly after, he and his wife learned their son’s leg was broken. The family provided an X-ray to the network.

The parents’ attorney, Adam Ellis, said the daycare failed to properly address what unfolded from the start.

‘If the investigation were different and cameras were reviewed and there were statements taken and taken more seriously and objectively, I think everyone would have realized this was a far more serious situation than they thought it was,’ Ellis said.

DailyMail.com reached out to Ellis for comment concerning the case Thursday afternoon, but did not immediately hear back.

When contacted by Dailymail.com regarding the incident Thursday, Creme de la Creme offered this statement:

‘For 40 years, our number one priority is the safety and security of the children in our care.

‘Immediately after this incident, we terminated the employment of the teacher involved.

  1. Failed to unfold what happened? Are people that freaking stupid? There is nothing that child could have done to elicit such a maniacal response from one employed to care for and protect him. Creme de la Creme and its employees sound more like Crap de la Crap.

  2. The trial of the sub-human Elicia Miller was a complete Miscarriage of Justice and a total travesty.
Given the level of violence inflicted on the two year old child, the mentally deranged Elicia Miller should have received the maximum penalty applicable for such injuries to the two year old child, and the maximum penalty is not 50 hours community service. In Jolly Old Eng Land during the 1960s a gang of train robbers stole around £3 million pounds, most of the gang were arrested, sent to trial, and were given 30 year sentences for stealing around £3 million pounds that was destined to be pulped by the BOE. 30 years in jail for stealing worthless pieces of rag paper from which the money was made.
50 hours community service for an act of deliberate vicious violence against a two year old.
In “America” the Shekel has higher status than Justitia (Justice). The creature Elicia Miller should be re-tried for a blatant miscarriage of Justice. (Luna(20). (120 ihs)
