swedish doctor with no hair

An Afghan man risks deportation but has been released after ripping off large sections of the hair of a female doctor at the University Hospital in Uppsala.

The doctor is a woman in her 40s who works in adult psychiatry at the University Hospital.

In mid-March, she was attacked by the 29-year-old Afghan. The patient, who suddenly went on the attack inside a consultation room, knocked the female doctor over, punched her and tore her hair.

She received, among other things, an eight by eight centimeter spot on her head where her hair had been torn away, bruises, a wound on her lip and fluid in her lungs and heart.

A colleague finally managed to get the man away and alert for help, writes Expressen.

The Afghan is now charged with aggravated assault and theft, and prosecutors are demanding that he be deported.

He denies the assault but admits to the theft at NK in Stockholm. He states that he does not remember the incident at the hospital clearly and states that he was in a state of psychosis.

According to Uppsala Nya Tidning, the union at the hospital has long complained about the safety deficiencies, such as problems with staff alarms and lack of escape routes. Managers at psychiatry must have had talks with the security department and the union after the violent attack.

The Afghan has been released pending trial.
