According to the police, the suspects in the Sunday gang rape in Vesterlen “had ties to Nordland.” Document now reveals that they have a great liking for Afghanistan, which is a totally different location.
Reliable evidence in a document indicates that all four people accused of the gang rape had a history in Afghanistan.

The accused are all in their 20s; the youngest is 23, the other three are all 24.
According to reports, the rape happened on Sunday night in Kleiva in the Sortland municipality inside or next to a bus shelter.
The Nordland police district has previously said that the suspects “had links to Nordland.”
It is possible to talk about affiliation. The four suspects’ citizenship is unknown, and police station head Bjrn Flstad Larsen declined to reveal it on Wednesday, but our research suggests that all of them have Afghan ancestry.

No one pleads guilty
The four guys were sentenced to prison on Thursday with a two-week sentence for the fourth and a four-week sentence for the other three. Each of the four must undergo one week of total seclusion. Rita Hermansen Dahl, a police prosecutor, stated in the Nordland police district on Thursday afternoon that no one entered a plea of guilty and that everyone requested their release.
Public printing of jail sentences, even one of the findings, has been forbidden by the Salten and Lofoten district court.
The four are accused of participating in the aggravated rape or its cover-up. The rape is regarded as significant by the police since it is thought to have been perpetrated by multiple persons at once, or what is known as group rape in common Norwegian. A 21-year jail sentence is imposed for this kind of rape under Section 293 of the Criminal Code.
