Russia being the liar that it always is, now its not admitting that Ukraine is kicking their behinds very badly and driving them out of their country.
Instead, the Russian army is saying that they are withdrawing. No they’re not! They are are being beaten badly and HUMILIATED and ashamed to admit defeat!
In response to a quick Ukrainian counterattack, Russian soldiers have left strategic eastern towns.
Ukrainian sources claimed soldiers stormed Kupiansk, a critical eastern supply corridor for Russian forces, on Saturday.
The Russian defense ministry then declared that its forces had left neighboring Izium so they could “regroup.”
The ministry has acknowledged the removal of soldiers from Balaklyia, a third significant town, in order to “bolster efforts” on the Donetsk front.
If maintained, the Ukrainian advances would be the biggest since Russia retreated from regions around Kiev in April.
President Volodymyr Zelensky asserted that since starting a fresh counteroffensive earlier this month, Ukraine had freed 2,000 sq km (700 sq miles) from Russia in his nightly video message on Saturday.
Given that it is double the extent of land Zelensky said had been liberated when he spoke on Thursday evening, his assertion would imply that half of that region has been reclaimed in the past 48 hours alone.
Because Izium served as an important military center for Moscow, the acknowledgment by Russia that it has left the area is noteworthy.
The Russian statement stated that a three-day operation was conducted to draw down and organize the transfer of the Izium-Balakliia group of troops to the Donetsk People’s Republic’s territory.
“A strong fire defeat was inflicted on the enemy to avert harm to the Russian soldiers.”
According to the Russian state-run Tass news agency, the head administrator of the Kharkiv region’s areas under Russian authority soon suggested that its citizens leave for Russia in order to “save lives.”
Additionally, the governor of the nearby Russian region of Belgorod said that those waiting in line to cross the border would have access to mobile food, heating, and medical care.
The gains will be interpreted as evidence that Ukraine’s army is capable of retaking Russian-occupied territory, which is critical as Kyiv continues to request military assistance from its strapped Western partners.
Dmytro Kuleba, the foreign minister of Ukraine, claimed that recent events had demonstrated that his country’s forces were capable of defeating the Russian army and that more Western armaments would hasten the conclusion of the war.
