Badreddin Abadlla Adam has been described as a “troubled loner” who had been self-isolating over fears he had Covid-19 before launching his attack in West George Street, Glasgow that left six injured.

This is the first picture of the man who launched a knife attack in Glasgow that left six people badly injured.

Badreddin Abadlla Adam was shot dead by police shortly after stabbing his victims in the Park Inn Hotel on West George Street on Friday afternoon.

Friends and acquaintances of the 28-year-old asylum seeker from Sudan say they feared over his mental state in the hours before he launched his knife attack.

A friend named only as Almadi told Sky News the knifeman’s family are “shocked” at his actions and hope the injured victims will be back with their families soon.

Almadi said such an attack is not the “mentality” or “moral nature” of Adam’s community in Sudan.

Fellow asylum seeker Siraj, who did not want to disclose his surname, told the Daily Record he was horrified when Adam told him he wanted to “stab people”.

Siraj, 22, from Yemen, added: “I saw him the day before the attack and he said he’d had enough. He told me he hated people and they hated him. He said, ‘I want to stab people and use the knife.

I bet all of his victims are white. He came to the UK to HATE and stab the white devil Britons. For Gods sake why do we put up with this???

Simply said, this black thought he had the apocalyptic virus and he thought he was gonna die so he said to himself, if I die, well why not take some white devils with me?

Please wait...
