Counter-terrorism police are investigating a possible ‘lone wolf’ terror attack after four people inside a shopping center in Manchester were stabbed by a knifeman on Friday.
As usual, both the British authorities and the media are refusing to identify the “knifeman”. They just keep calling him a “knifeman”. Well its understandable! We must protect the identity of mass stabbers, we wouldn’t want them to be defamed in any way shape or form, but hopefully you can all guess who he is.
He’s most likely a Middle Eastern… don’t worry if he were a Briton you would see his face everywhere on the news and not only that but they would also probably brand him a “hateful white supremacist nazi racist demon from Hell” or something among those lines.
Shortly after the attack, the suspect – a man in his 40s – was detained by police, at first, on suspicion of serious assault but later on suspicion of terrorism, the Independent reports.
According to Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson of Greater Manchester Police, the attack occurred at the Arndale Centre at around 11:15 am local time, when a man carrying a ‘large knife’ started ‘lunging and attacking people’.
A shop worker who witnessed the attack take place said, “A man was running around with a knife lunging at multiple people, one of which came into my store visibly shaken with a small graze.”
A 19-year-old woman, a 50-year-old man, and another woman were among those who were stabbed in the attack. A fourth woman was also injured but was deemed not to need hospital treatment by emergency workers.
Following the attack, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson took to Twitter, saying that he “shocked” by the attack while lauding the efforts of the emergency services.
Home secretary Priti Patel said she was “very concerned by the incident in Manchester,” while adding “I am, as always, very grateful to the police for running towards danger to keep us safe. Now important they are given space to carry out their investigation.”
Manchester Arndale shopping center is just a couple hundred meters away from Victoria railway station and Manchester Arena, both of which have been sites of terror attacks in recent years.
In May of 2017, twenty-two people were murdered when Salman Abedi, a bloodthirsty Islamist, carried out a suicide bombing outside of the Manchester Arena following an Ariane Grande concert.
