A new law will come into effect in Sweden after Christmas 2014, that will allow people to be prosecuted for criticizing immigration or politician’s unwillingness to tackle the issue.
The Constitutional Committee’s report has been voted for in parliament, seen in a letter from the Parliamentary Offices.
Member of Parliament Andrew Norlén, member of the Constitutional Committee, has been pushing the issue and he says it will rapidly become a deterrent.
“I do not think it takes very many prosecutions before a signal is transmitted in the community that the internet is not a lawless country, the sheriff is back in town” Norlén said during a one-sided ‘debate’ on the issue in Swedish parliament.
This new law is meant to stop Swedish people from complaining about their country being turned into a third world nation.
Without freedom of speech there can be no democracy. If you are not allowed to say certain things then parties that support your ideas cannot exist and Sweden is at high risk of turning into a communist USSR-like country.

I believe the issue with the majority of responses to this article is that many of you isolate a flaw with terminology (A.K.A. Semantics) instead of actually responding to the heart of the issue. The problem is that the treatment of women, homosexuals, and anyone who doesn’t identify as a heterosexual male under sharia law is horribly askew. Just because someone seeks refugee from a country that attempts to implement that into their inner workings doesn’t mean the refugees themselves don’t believe it is acceptable to rape women. Obviously Syrian refugees in Sweden do believe it’s okay to rape women, and have no issue doing so. Instead of picking apart their terminology, look at the greater message and stop pretending you know more than someone because you can correct their word choice. I’d that were the case, I could quote several of you. I’m not saying my writing is flawless; however, there are several mistakes in the passages above. Sean C. Under the tactic of your response, that automatically invalidates the rest of your argument. As well as the previously stated, I believe Sean C. Hines also said, “democrats in the government loosing in their foothold on the government,” which is grammatically incorrect. I’ll remind you that loosing does not, grammatically-speaking, fit into the context of your sentence. The point of this passage is not to point out the flaws in one’s writing, but rather to suggest that terminology is not the most important thing when intelligently debating. You knew the author’s message, and instead of responding to that, you attempted to invalidate his argument through picking apart his terminology. In doing so, you also made grammatical mistakes, which under your tactic, invalidates your point. That’s not my tactic, so it doesn’t really matter to me, but try responding to the question asked, not the question you wanted to be asked.

Even banning freedom of speech and other liberties is not something inherent in Communist praxis or Lenninist states or their Marxist ideology, it was just the repressive approach used by Marxist-Leninist/Stalinist totalitarian regimes.
Banning freedom of speech has been used in non Marxist-Leninist states as well, or even anti-Communist governments, such as: Nazi Germany/Third Riech and the other classic fascist states such as Fascist Italy and Franco-falangist Spain, just about all aristocracies/monarchies, Pinochets regime, and Peronist Argentia and pretty much all of the neo-fascist regimes and/or neoliberal dictatorships & military juntas in South America during the 20th century (and still some today), many nations in Africa, just about every fascist state that has ever or currently exists, Turkey (another [de facto] neo-fascist state), quite a few countries in Europe to some degree (even before the influx of middle eastern refugees/immigrants, and mostly do to toryist a and other conservatives/nationalists rather then social liberals that most people seem to think), and even to some degree the United States, particularly during the Cold War.
