At least 175 people have been arrested during clashes between police and Occupy Wall Street demonstrators in New York. Some protesters were bloodied during arrests.

This man who identified himself as Brendan Watts was beaten to the ground by police officers in Zuccotti Park. According to reports he was injured and suffered a fractured skull after being hit with a baton to the head as police clashed with protesters.

And it was not the only case of violence during ‘Day of Action’ protests in New York. Police were seen roughly dragging people from crowd, forcibly bringing them to the ground and handcuffing them.

There were reports of journalists also being on the receiving end. RT’s Lucy Kafanov was hit by NYPD officer on the arm with a baton. She witnessed a photographer being roughly shoved.

At first, OWS protesters were chanting “Put away the riot gear. I don’t see no riot here” and ‘”This is a nonviolent protest”. But when police went on with tough arrests – it was “Shame” and “This is what a police state looks like” chants all the way.

RT’s Marina Portnaya reports from New York that the violence is escalating. An eyewitness told RT that the police ultimately attacked one of the activists – whether the police were or were not provoked is not clear. According to the witness, five or more police officers jumped on a young activist and started to beat him.

  1. The Wall Street financial terrorists blaring “free market” were and are the ones robbing the people with bailouts because in a REAL free market they would have accepted the consequences of taking risk and gone bankrupt, and they would have been prosecuted because of forgeries (like liar loans), and the fraudulent ratings agencies because they gave triple A to Ponzi schemes designed to fail. Not prosecuting the financial terrorists while innocent protestors are tortured is one example of fascism.

It’s only a matter time till the Ponzi scheme collapses:

But according to some it’s collapsing already:

Not prosecuting the financial terrorists while innocent protestors are tortured is fascism of a kind that makes Hitler look like a saint.

The best example how to beat the Wall Street financial terrorists, is Iceland:

  3. OWS is a danger for the 1% because it has other plans. The police, paid with taxes by the 99% is bribed by the 1% to use violence and to violate the Constitution, to remove the protesters against “greed and corruption in Washington and on Wall Street”.

Removal of greed and corruption from Washington and Wall Street is one option to deal with serious issues like resource depletion, climate change, and food / water (population). The other option is to remove enough of those belonging to the 99%, to continue “business as usual” for the 1%, in the blind hope that “technology will find a solution (to continue plundering the planet)”. The scenario for that already exists, summarized as WWIII.

Hence it might be a good idea to hit the 1% at the only spot where it really hurts: the wallet.

    • Like Newt Gringrich said’go take a bath and get your self a job’.This what you Marxist Europeans and Americans need to do.If the OWS protestors are going to continue to protest then they should go to their representative’s offices in DC and do their occupying there.
