It appears the EU could already be giving up ground on its proposed internal combustion engine ban, set to be put into place in 2035. On Tuesday morning it was reported that the EU has now “drafted a plan allowing sales of new cars with internal combustion engines that run only on climate neutral e-fuels”, according to Reuters. Germans Oppose EU Combustion Engine Ban, Survey Shows

A survey released Friday by German broadcaster ARD showed that the majority of Germans oppose banning combustion engines in new cars across the European Union. Germany has recently blocked an EU vote to ban the sale of new vehicles with combustion engines across the bloc from 2035. What did the survey show? Two-thirds of Germans, or 67%, are against the ban, according to ARD, and only one quarter,...

Today in “saving the environment while destroying the entire global economy news”, major European auto manufacturer Stellantis is warning that unless EVs start to get cheaper, that the industry is “doomed” thanks to new deals to try and phase out internal combustion engines. The company said it is looking to cut the cost of making EVs 40% by 2030, according to a new report from Bloomberg/MSN....
