Iranian VP for women and family affairs Masoumeh Ebtekar has contracted the deadly coronavirus. Three high-ranking officials, including Iran’s Deputy Health Minister, are already infected.
Earlier in the day, the head of the parliamentary security and foreign relations commission Mojtaba Zonnour said he has tested positive for the dreaded virus.
Iran is enduring a large coronavirus outbreak – 26 people have died from the disease, while over 245 cases have been confirmed, according to the Health Ministry’s spokesman Kianoush Jahanpour.
On Wednesday, coronavirus threat prompted partial closure of certain Shiite holy sites across the country, as well as cancellation of some Friday sermons in a bid to stop the spread of the virus. A number of schools and universities remain closed since last week, when Tehran acknowledged the outbreak.
“Ms. Ebtekar showed signs of infection with coronavirus and was tested. The results came back positive,” IRNA quoted a spokesperson for the VP.

But Iran is lying that they only have 22 dead. Reports from Inside Iran put the number of real deaths at well over 100.

By the looks of it, it seems that societies which are totally anti-face-masks are the worst hit. Japan TRADITIONALLY wears face masks even when there are not pandemics, as a result, look they survived this despite housing hundreds of corona infected people on the Death Princess boat.
China which doesn’t typically wears face masks got hit really hard and now Iran and Italy. This means that the rest of Europe and USA too will get hit very hard as they do not buy masks and use basic protection.
Better get yourself a mask, gloves and maybe even a costume and some googles before disaster strikes your region.
