Armed police surrounded the bus, with officers in chemical suits approaching the vehicle. The man was ordered to stand up and exit the bus, but he refused, resulting in officers storming the bus. The assailant was tasered, detained, and later stripped in the street. Emergency services, including the Metropolitan Police’s Territorial Support Group, responded to the incident, which involved a three-hour standoff.
During the confrontation, passengers left the bus, and the corrosive substance was not thrown at anyone.
