Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order which some say effectively declares Alaska belongs to Russia. Not only Alaska but all countries that once belonged to the former Russian Empire and then later on to the Soviet Empire (USSR) all these countries still should belong to Russia today according to him. So for example, Finland once belonged to the Russian Empire in its entirety so today it should again belong to Russia, same goes for Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, half of Germany because it belonged to USSR and so on…
A brief history of how Alaska became part of the United States: Russia sold it in 1867 for $7.2 million, a deal considered to be mutually beneficial at that time. Nowadays, Alaska, a detached piece of the USA, stands as one of the fifty states constituting the country and has been an integral part of it for over 150 years. Nonetheless, the Russians aren’t content with this.
Interestingly, Vladimir Putin appears to have rethought the sale of Alaska to the Americans. It’s not a joke: he’s trying to give the impression that his influence extends not only to his country’s future events but also plans to rewrite the past. Therefore, he signed a decree rendering the sale of Alaska illegal.
This is likely the beginning of a request for its return from the United States.
Putin and his propaganda specialists persistently build an image of Russia as an empire that makes demands against its neighbors and, if unheeded, resorts to war and other consequences. As witnessed in previous years with Georgia and Moldova, Ukraine experienced similar tactics as it was attacked by its neighboring country in 2022.
It appears that Moscow has claims against the United States now.
Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring the sale of Alaska to the USA as illegal. This action signals the start of a demand for the territory’s return and potentially entering into conflict with the superpower. However, this is just political posturing today, and no rational person would suggest that Russia could assault the United States. Nonetheless, as the saying goes, a continuous drip can erode a stone.
“Before Americans seize our properties abroad, they should remember, we also have something to reclaim.” – stated Vyacheslav Volodin, the chairman of the State Duma, during a plenary sitting in the summer of 2022. At the time, Russians reacted nervously to the US-imposed sanctions on Moscow.
This propaganda tactic may not intimidate Washington’s authorities but perfectly illustrates the Kremlin’s new approach to international politics and its respect for agreements. Today in Russia, a fact clear and not disputed for years – that the Americans purchased Alaska legally in 1867 for $7.2 million – means nothing.
Interestingly, Alaska plays a significant role in the relationship between both countries. The USAF bases and USARAK (American Arctic military forces) are stationed here. Centers found in Fort Greely and Eielson are equipped with advanced machinery through which Americans could quickly launch an attack on Russia, including nuclear warheads.
Notably, Russia employed a similar propaganda mechanism in the case of Crimea, which was legally transferred to Ukraine during the USSR era. The result of this incident under Vladimir Putin’s regime is well known.
Putin signed an order insinuating the sale of Alaska to the United States in 1867 was illegitimate.

“ORDER OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The document does not mention Alaska specifically but it mentions all former Russian Empire and Soviet territories as still belonging to Russia, thus this includes Alaska and many other independent countries.
According to the document above, all territories that once belonged to the former Russian Empire or the former USSR are under legal protection of Moscow, referring to these territories as their property.
Putin is clearly out of his mind and something needs to be done urgently. And then you see so many pro-Russia, pro-Putin in the West and you wonder why? How can this be? How can these people be so easily manipulated by the dictator of another country?
Well the answer is simple, because the situation their countries has gotten so bad in some regards, they desperately look for salvation elsewhere but Russia is not a savior, Russia is just a different type of monster but still a monster, nothing more.

Russia sold Alaska to the Americans because Great Britain was worried Russia would steal what is present day British Columbia from them. Russia was building its forces in the Pacific and it was a challange logistically for Great Britain to fight with such stretched lines of logistics for Great Britain in the Pacific region. Therefor Great Britain attacked Russia in the Crimea forcing Russia to send all available troops to defend their heartland from invasion, thus leaving the Pacific relatively undefended and vastly reducing the chance Russian forces would challange Great Britian for the west coast of North America and at the same time the three colonies of British Columbia were untied into one province and joined the Canadian Confederation. Russia tired of war with Great Britain sold Alaska to the Americans, whom they viewed as a more dependable neighbour with which to share a boarder with than Great Britain whom they assumed would resume attacks on them at a later date. By selling Alaska to America Russia created a vast boarder region block against any further hostilities and territorial claims by Great Britain on their far eastern holdings that they could only tenuously hold onto at that time. America was viewed as a neutral country friendly to Russia in its opposition to the British Empire and that is why they sold Alaska for such a great price to buy peace and security for Russia’s far East territories.
What a load of tosh, the USA purchased alaska as part of its westward expansion as part of its policy of “Manifest Destiny” of the conquest and genocide of the Western portion of America
which resulted in the Monroe Doctrine in which the USA became the self appointed owner of the Western Hemisphere of the World, and then pivoted to the East in to Asia which culminated in the dropping of the two Atomic bombs on the only two Catholic cities in Japan, Hiroshima and nagasaki in 1945, and it was the British and Americans who utterly destroyed the Ancient Roman Catholic Monastary of Monte Cassino in Italy which was being protected and defended by the Germans. WW2 was infact the Judeo-communist war of extermination by the USA, Britain, the Soviet Union and their allies against those nations who were defending European Christian civilisation in Europe and around the world, Germany,Italy, Japan and their allies. If America had remained part of the British empire which was destroyed by roosevelt during WW2 in favour of the Jewish communist Empire in the Soviet Union, the USA would not be on its currant trajectory of destroying itself and the entire world because of its pathalogical hatred of Russia and its allies. The Jewish USA hates Christian Russia but loved the Jewish communist Soviet Union which it saved during WW2.
Presumably, Mr. Putin has a sales receipt to support his claim.
Russia sold Alaska to the USA for 7.2 million Dollars because the Russians knew that the USA would steal the territory anyway and start an all out war with Russia. Russia clearly has a claim against the USA on Alaska for mis-selling and fooling Russia as to the real value of the State.
