Satellite imagery analysis reveals a staggering reality in Gaza, where more than 70 percent of residential buildings lie in ruins or bear the scars of bombings, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. The devastation extends beyond homes; the World Bank notes that nearly 80 percent of Gaza’s health facilities have suffered destruction or damage, leaving most of the 36 hospitals in dire straits.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a press conference on a somber Saturday evening, asserted that the conflict would persist for several more months. He emphasized a goal of eliminating Hamas and ensuring the safe return of hostages. Netanyahu reported a significant toll on Hamas, claiming that approximately 8,000 of its fighters had lost their lives in the ongoing attacks.

In contrast, Palestinian data paints a grim picture, citing a total death toll nearing 21,700, with an additional 56,000 individuals sustaining injuries. The human cost of this prolonged conflict has left Gaza in a state of despair, with communities shattered and essential services decimated. The stark contrast in reported figures underscores the deep divide in narratives, leaving the international community grappling with the complexities of the situation.
