In a statement issued on Friday, OpenAI revealed the removal of Sam Altman from his CEO position and his replacement with Mira Murati. The company cited a review process indicating that Altman’s lack of consistent transparency with the board impeded its ability to fulfill its responsibilities.

After the news of Altman’s departure emerged, social media attention pivoted to older tweets from Sam Altman’s sister, Annie, where she had previously accused him of abuse. The resurfacing of these tweets sparked speculation among users, leading some to speculate a potential link between these allegations and Altman’s exit from the company.

“Sam Altman’s sister has made some striking claims in her past posts. Could this have influenced his departure?” one individual queried.

“Have the allegations made by Sam Altman’s sister finally caught up with him?” another pondered.

“This strongly suggests misconduct unrelated to his job. I don’t think the board fires him like this unless he has done something quite severe. You should search ‘Sam Altman sister allegations,'” a different user recommended.

Perhaps provocatively, another user on X suggested, “Maybe Sam Altman was dismissed because he neglected to disclose to the board that his sister is accusing him of egregious behavior.”

In a series of tweets in 2021, Annie accused her brothers Sam and Jack of subjecting her to sexual abuse during her childhood. She asserted, “I feel strongly that others have also been abused by these perpetrators. I’m seeking people to join me in pursuing legal justice, safety for others in the future, and group healing.”

As of now, neither Sam Altman nor OpenAI has addressed these allegations publicly.
