Three immigrants who are now in their 30s are now being charged for a gang-rape against a 14-year-old girl on a beach in Malmö in the spring of 2011.
The gang rape took place on 1 April 2011 at Ribersborgsstranden in Malmö.
According to the indictment, the three immigrants raped the girl orally and vaginally.
According to the prosecutor, the men “used some violence and subdued her by, among other things, holding her, carrying her, pulling down her panties and pants and spreading her legs”. According to the indictment, the 14-year-old was in “a helpless state” due to intoxication.
The prosecutor believes that the crime should be assessed as serious “because several perpetrators preyed on the plaintiff and participated in the act, and because the act was particularly reckless with regard to the plaintiff’s age and intoxication”.
The investigation was closed in September 2011, despite DNA traces. But the preliminary investigation was resumed after the men were arrested in January this year in connection with a serious assault in Malmö. He was topped and there was a match on the older rape case.
All three are charged with aggravated rape of a child.
– These are people who are not criminally charged in that way and they are established in society. All three deny crimes, says prosecutor Lina Wiktor to SVT Nyheter Skåne.
All have received Swedish citizenship and therefore cannot be deported under current legislation. One of them retains his Iraqi citizenship.
Malmö district court states that “due to a currently high workload” it cannot send out any pictures of the defendants until week 25 at the earliest.

Their Swedish citizenship should be revoked and they should be deported to their country of origin.
