During Tuesday, it became big news that a man with a “Nazi flag” tried to carry out an attack on the White House. But now it turns out that the alleged Nazi is an Indian named Sai Varshith Kandula.
The 19-year-old man is accused of trying to kill or injure US President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris.
This after he drove a truck into a security barrier a few hundred meters from the White House in Washington.
Immediately after the incident, which took place on Monday evening local time, became known, big headlines spread in the media that a swastika flag had been found next to the vehicle.
This was timely for the American media and authorities, who rarely miss an opportunity to single out “white supremacists” as the major threat to the country.
However, the “Nazi” in question now turns out to be called Sai Varshith Kandula and to be Indian.
From what has emerged about the 19-year-old, he seems to be suffering from delusions. His stated goal, according to the Indian Express, was to get to the White House to “seize power” in the United States. If he had to kill President Biden, he would do it, says the Indian. He says he bought the swastika online because he admires the “magnificent history” of Nazi Germany.
