Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook and Instagram is expected to soon launch a new app similar to Twitter.
The app is said to have been tested by celebrities and influencers in secret and is expected to be available to the public in June.
The new addition will be different from Instagram and users will be able to link their accounts in the different apps.
A social media marketing professor named Lia Haberman has seen plans for the new app and points out that Meta has successfully copied and recreated features from other apps in the past.
She also mentions that Twitter has declined in popularity since Elon Musk bought it and that users have grown tired of the constant changes to the app’s established features.
Meta has yet to comment on the details of the new app, and there is no information on the app’s name or logo.
