White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed that illegal immigration has dropped by over 90% under Joe Biden’s presidency.
However, this statement has been proven to be blatantly false.
Customs and Border Protection data indicates that more than 5 million illegal immigrants have crossed the U.S. border since Biden became president.
Additionally, around 1.2 million illegal immigrants have evaded capture and are now freely roaming around the country, according to CBP estimates.
During a press conference on Monday, Jean-Pierre failed to mention that the manhunt for an individual accused of murdering five of his neighbors in Texas was actually an illegal alien who had been deported from the U.S. multiple times.
Instead, Jean-Pierre used the incident as an opportunity to push for increased gun control, saying that “the President believes prayers alone are not enough.
Congress must act because what makes tragedies like this one all the more heart-wrenching is the fact that it is entirely within our power to take these weapons of war off our streets.”
