An adult man is suspected of having been gang-raped by several men at a playground in the Scanian coastal town of Åhus.
There are more perpetrators than one, says Mikael Persson, on-call preliminary investigation leader.
The police are appealing for witness information in the hunt for the perpetrators, but Åhus residents in general need not worry.
It appears from the police’s incident report that the rape must have occurred at a playground near the guest harbor around 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The police received the alarm at 04:00.
The local newspaper Kristianstadsbladet reports that it is about a man who is suspected of having been gang-raped by several men. The newspaper also writes that the police state that “the public need not worry”.
There are more than one. It’s not women, but men, says Mikael Persson, on-call preliminary investigation manager, to the newspaper.
The victim was taken to hospital for examination and the police do not want to comment on the condition of the injuries. Police are appealing for tips from the public.
