Finally, something intelligent is being done in this retarded low IQ planet we live on. We here at EUTimes have been demanding for years to end all manufacturing in Asia, especially in China and move our industry back to Europe and America. We can’t, we simply can’t continue to fund our enemies by offering them jobs and revenue. It is not normal to continue to fund China by importing their products from them and offering them jobs while at the same time they are now openly declaring themselves to be our enemy and threatening US heads of state like Nancy Pelosi over Taiwan visit.

We need to withdraw all our manufacturing from Asia, particularly from China but yes Taiwan too as they could be conquered by China and then we loose all the factories to China. Withdraw everything from communist Vietnam also. Vietnam is not yet openly our enemy like China is but if they ever get richer and stronger militarily, they will once again become our enemies. Some tycoons have suggested moving the manufacturing to India! NO NO and NO! Look how India is part of Russia’s BRICS alliance and India is more aligned with Russia than with the West, buying weapons from Russia.

India is also scamming the West. There are many in India who are doing phone call scams to Westerners, claiming to be from Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, IRS, etc and scamming our citizens of thousands of dollars, all while the Indian police doesn’t care because they think we are stupid Westerners who deserve to be scammed by their citizens.

Withdraw, withdraw, withdraw! We can’t say this often enough. We understand they moved all the factories there for cheap manufacturing, aka low salaries but hey we have Eastern Europe. Move factories to places like Moldova, the poorest nation in Europe, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Macedonia, etc. Plus we will all get higher quality products. Chinese produce the biggest garbage in the world. Made in China products are the worst.

US chipmaker Intel is close to clinching a deal with Italy to build an advanced factory in the country for the production of semiconductors, Reuters reported on Thursday. The investment is part of a larger plan to increase chip production in the EU to reduce reliance on Asia.

The deal for the semiconductor packaging and assembly plant will initially be worth $5 billion, Reuters says, citing its sources. The agreement looks likely to be reached by the end of August, the agency added.

The investment in Italy is part of a wider plan by Intel, the world’s largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue, to invest $88 billion in building capacity across Europe, in a bid to cut reliance on chip imports from Asia, particularly in light of current tensions between China and Taiwan.

The world’s largest semiconductor foundry is Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), which produces over 90% of the most advanced semiconductors used in the global industry.

A global chip supply crunch triggered by the coronavirus pandemic has curbed the output of Europe’s strategic car industry. Semiconductors are also used in computers, household appliances, and numerous other items.

Reuters reported earlier that Rome is ready to fund as much as 40% of Intel’s total investment in Italy, which is expected to rise over time from the initial $5 billion.

The EU wants to develop innovative semiconductor facilities on its territory. The European Commission made a total of more than €43 billion of policy-driven investment available under its Chips Act until 2030.

    • That’s even worse for us because they will sell their chips directly to Russia.
