Russian officials blamed accused Ukrainian spy Shaban-Vovk for the murder, alleging that she slipped into the country with her 12-year-old daughter, followed Dugina for weeks before detonating the fatal vehicle bomb and escaping into Estonia unnoticed.
According to the sequence of events outlined by Russia’s security agency, Shaban-Vovk changed her look and car’s license plate to deceive security personnel before escaping Russia via the Estonian border.
The FSB also made public what it claimed to be the mother’s military records, which included a portrait in the form of a passport.
However, analysts questioned why Shaban-Vovk, if she was a Ukrainian spy who carried out the murder, would leave her military ID behind and claimed that Russian officials had created a fake to implicate Ukraine in the crime.
Urmas Reinsalu, the foreign minister of Estonia, denied the outrageous charges today, calling them a “Russian information effort.”
The minister stated, “We view this as one incident of provocation in a very long series of provocations by the Russian Federation, and we have nothing more to say about it at this time.” He added that Russia has not requested the extradition of the suspected murderer.
Indrek Kannik, the director of the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS) in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, asserted that Dugina was most likely assassinated by a Russian internal operation.
Considering that these individuals had grown to be a threat, it’s conceivable that this was the FSB’s own operation.
However, it is also easier to place the blame on the Ukrainians. We can now see that Estonia may be included in this.
Ukraine has vehemently denied any involvement in the murder in Moscow and charged Moscow of staging a “false flag” operation to place the blame on Kyiv.
The killing of Dugina was carried out professionally, according to noted Russian expert Andrei Piontkovsky, indicating that the Russian secret services are probably involved. In contrast, Russian-American historian Yuri Felshtinsky asserted that the Kremlin would have authorized the assassination.
According to Felshtinsky, the Russian security services orchestrated the vehicle bombing of Alexander Dugin, a well-known fascist and Putin government ideologist.
According to the most recent Russian accounts, the explosive was placed within Dugin’s secure complex and linked to his automobile. Contrary to Russia, Ukraine concentrates on military objectives, therefore striking one of Putin’s media pawns or committing limited agents within the Russian Federation to such a pointless objective is of little apparent use to the liberation of Ukraine.
However, the Kremlin will probably take advantage of it to make it appear as though Ukraine is resorting to its own tactics of attacking defenseless citizens there.
