The attack took place on Friday July 22 shortly after 1 a.m. in the 13th arrondissement of the capital, in the Poterne-des-Peupliers sector. The victim was found lying on the ground by a passerby. Bloodied, she had a major wound in her skull.
Still conscious before being transported to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital (Paris 13th), the man explained that he had been attacked by several individuals who beat him to steal his bag. He died the next day from his injuries. The two suspects were arrested shortly after the incident by the criminal investigation team.
