A security guard working at a mall in France was beaten into a coma by a suspect from Africa last week, according to reports.
The shocking incident unfolded at around 9.m. on Wednesday evening in Hauts-de-Seine, a department in the suburbs of Paris.
A 62-year-old guard working at Westfield Les 4 Temps mall in La Défense business district was savagely attacked by a male suspect for unknown reasons, Valeurs Actuelles reports.
Surveillance footage of the assault was shared on social media.

The suspect can be seen punching the guard in the face and tackling him to the ground before repeatedly striking him in the head.
At least eight blows were delivered during the frenzy, leaving the victim apparently unconscious on the floor.
After days on the run, the suspect was arrested when officers spotted him at Sarcelles Saint-Brice station.
He was identified as a 38-year-old male from the Republic of Congo, according to police sources.
The security guard, a man of Thai origin, was left in a coma and his prognosis was not available to the public in the most recent available updates.
The attack comes amid a heated debate over violent crime and lawlessness tied to mass migration in France.
Military leaders fired off multiple incendiary letters last year, warning the Macron government of looming “civil war” if strong measures are not taken to regain control of a society spiraling into chaos.
