The Polish parliament has passed laws that would allow border agents to quickly eject illegal aliens, even if they attempt to claim asylum, according to reports.
Lawmakers have also given the green light for construction of a new high-tech physical barrier along the border with Belarus and other measures to prevent mass migration into the country.
Legislation now heads to the desk of conservative President Andrzej Duda for final approval.
“The amendments include a procedure whereby a person caught illegally crossing the border can be ordered to leave Polish territory based on a decision by the local Border Guard chief,” Reuters reports.
“Additionally, the bill allows the chief of the Office of Foreigners to disregard an application for international protection by a foreigner immediately caught after illegally crossing the border.”

Over $400 million (~1.6 billion zlotys) in funding was approved to build a permanent barrier on Poland’s border with Belarus where thousands of migrants from Africa and the Middle East have been trying to enter in recent months.
Interior minister Mariusz Kamiński recently vowed Poland’s eastern frontier will soon be “the most modernly-secured border in Europe” after construction of “not only an extremely solid physical barrier,” but also the installation of advanced electronic systems, including thermal imaging cameras and a network of motion sensors.
Between 300 and 600 illegal crossings are now being intercepted at the Poland-Belarus border on any given day, while reports indicate approximately 500 migrants are arriving daily at the airport in Minsk as they make their way towards the European Union.
The substantial uptick in migrant traffic came after Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko threatened to allow aliens and drugs to flood Europe amid fraying diplomatic ties with the E.U. earlier this year.
