Police in New York City are seeking a male suspect who beat and choked a woman unconscious while attempting to rape her aboard a subway train, according to reports.
The brutal attack unfolded on a C train in Manhattan at around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
The suspect demanded money from a 40-year-old woman before slamming her into the seats and choking her until she lost consciousness, police say.
“He then molested and tried to rape the unconscious woman as the train entered the 168th St.-Broadway subway station — the last stop on the C line — cops said. When the doors opened, the creep dragged the unconscious woman onto the platform and ran off,” the New York Daily News reports.
NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect, a black male wearing a mask, fleeing the scene through an emergency door.
