The criminal rapper Yasin has been named “artist of the year” by Swedish Radio “P3 Gold”, writes the state radio on its website.
Yasin Abdullahi Mahamoud, also known as Yasin Village or just Yasin, has been in custody since the beginning of the year on probable cause on suspicion of stamping out kidnapping. He has previously been linked to the criminal Rinkeby network Shottaz.
The 23-year-old rapper, who has a Somali background, has previously been sentenced to prison for a felony. Last year, he was also detained for three months on suspicion of murder, but was released in March of the same year when the investigation was closed.
Since Yasin is in custody on suspicion of a serious crime, he cannot accept Sveriges Radio’s award on the spot.
Yasin could not be in place to receive his awards, was the short message from the gala when the Somali was praised, Aftonbladet reports.

What a self-hating country. I’ll bet his criminal activities helped him edge past whatever other “talents” were in the running.
