So sorry guys, it has been a while since we’ve written something in the Technology section but we honestly didn’t find anything to write about up until now. So it has just come to my attention that Samsung’s top smartphone, the Note series has basically just committed suicide out of boredom.
Many morons are mindlessly praising last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ as “woooow it’s so cool, its better because its newer and woo look it has that aura glow back plate and wooow that camera hole punch!” Seriously guys??? Why are you so cheap and easy to impress? You’re so easy to be impressed by shiny things, you’re like kids.
Let’s get right down to business because we mean it. In this story we’re only gonna talk about Note 10+ because Note 10 normal without the PLUS shouldn’t have even existed. That’s like not even a real Note phone. Its an embarrassment for the simple fact that it even exists. Throughout the entire Note series there has always been 1 single Note but nope, not this time, this time, you get 5 Notes…. Note 10, Note 10 5G, Note 10+, Note 10+ 5G and Note 10 Lite…. really really really pathetic of Samsung. Why are they doing this? Greed for money obviously, why else?
Note 10+ is however the obvious successor to 2018’s Note 9. Note 10+ has been praised for the bezel-less display and the hole punch in the display for the selfie camera. While these are interesting things, you need to understand that the huge bezel-less display isn’t all fun and cool and bla bla, it comes with serious disadvantages such as accidental touches and no this is not something to be taken lithely because first you will dismiss them but as time passes by those accidental touches will become a nuisance.
Aside from the obvious boost in hardware specs such as newer chipset, newer GPU, more RAM, there’s actually a lot of problems with Note 10+ such as the removal of features which made it a Note, a king of all smartphones, a phone with all functions into one. They removed the awesome 3D haptic feedback button which is really sad because that button alone was worth all the money, they removed the notification led and they said that well the phone offers info about the charging state on Always On Display but that function will get you burn-screen marks and consumes a lot more battery than a simple led light which is more practical and useful.
Then they removed the headphone jack, citing a BS fake study conducted by them, saying that 70% of users prefer wireless headphones anyway. Yeah use those Galaxy buds you stupid people, fill their pockets with more money as you get irradiated by needless Bluetooth radiation. They couldn’t even include a damn headphone jack adapter for free in the box with the phone. You also gotta pay additionally for that after spending more than $1000 on their phone. Stupid people are finding excuses for these actions, to defend the company that they love but this is really stupid. In the end you are just a man (or woman) free and independent from a company which pockets billions in cash every year. You should never shill and white knight for a company, especially one which is foreign, from South Korea.
But wait there’s more, they also removed the heartrate sensor on the back so you can buy their additional Galaxy Watch. They also removed the Iris Scanner and all that they offered in exchange was some useless camera gimmicks like 3D scan and S-Pen gestures which nobody uses. They could have pulled off this crap with the S series and nobody would have been bothered but doing this to the Note series is unacceptable.
Needless to mention is that generations ago they also removed the FM Radio (it was reintroduced starting with Note 8 but ONLY for Snapdragons in USA wile the rest of the world which is on Exynos DOES NOT have FM Radio) and the Infrared port. What’s next? Removing bluetooth, wifi, gps? The Note series should have been a powerhouse rich in functions, they should pride themselves in adding functions, not removing functions. Except for the design in which Note 10+ clearly wins for being more futuristic, but despite that, functions wise, Note 9 feels more like Note 10+ and 10+ like 9. You would actually think 9 is the successor to 10+… haha!
Now to make it worse, there’s actually even 3 software problems which we detected with Note 10+. Note 10+ night mode pictures produce some bizarre glaring with street lights reflecting allover the place and first we thought the problem is with OUR specific Note 10+ which we had for testing but no, we took a second one and the second one produced the same pictures at night. Details and everything actually looks better on Note 9, there’s also no street light glaring. Now the most interesting part is that the pictures taken with S20 Ultra aren’t necessarily better than pictures taken with Note 10+. In fact in many tests, Note 10+ won (vs S20 Ultra) which means Note 9 is gonna shoot pictures better than Note 20+ because Note 20+ is gonna have the exact same cameras found on S20 Ultra. Wow just wow… The only thing better on Note 10+ and 20+ is the video stabilization which is top stuff (even that gets fixed on Note 9 with Android 10 but you do loose true dark mode as it gets replaced by below described “gray mode”), way better than Note 9… but other than that, the image quality is simply better on Note 9 both during the day and night. Just imagine how bad the cameras are on Note 20+. Don’t get fooled by those fake 108MP BS gimmicks.
Speakers are a bit louder on Note 10+ than on Note 9 but the BASS (low frequency 20Hz) is much crappier on Note 10+ than on Note 9 which has deeper sound, more similar to that of the iPhone 11. We don’t know anyone who would prefer the louder speakers of Note 10+ over the BASS speakers on Note 9. Then there’s the dark mode. Dark mode in Note 10+ is no longer dark mode but its GRAY mode, there are no areas on the phone where the screen actually goes total black like it used to. Pixeles turn on and consume useless power and instead of reproducing a pitch black with pixels turned off, you get an annoying grayish dark, as if you had LCD screen and not AMOLED. It happens everywhere, on the notification bar, dialer, settings, everywhere. This wasn’t the case on Android 9 Pie, the OS with which has been launched with. This is a new “feature” of the Android 10 but Google is not to blame here, Samsung is. This is a problem with the One UI 2…
As usual Samsung doesn’t give a crap to fix anything, they just go by their greedy standards to release 2 major updates for all their phones then F YOU and your $1300 phone… you want more you pay more, we iz Koran madafaka! As a proof for that, is that the Note 20+ is gonna be an exact same pile of crap as Note 10+ has been but only with newer hardware.
The only good thing about Note 20+ is that they changed their name to reflect the current year so in 2020 you get Note 20 in 2021 you get Note 21 and so on. On top of that they hopefully got rid of those pesky Chinese copiers from Xiaomi because every time you search for a Note phone on the internet you are also shown Xiaomi Mi Note 10. Yes typical Chinese, they copied even the name. Now I don’t think the Chinese will jump to Xiaomi Note 20, I think they will keep the numbering and their next Note is gonna be Note 11…? Hopefully?
Whenever you searched on Craigslist, Amazon or eBay for example for Note 10 you had to search for “Galaxy Note 10” just to exclude those annoying Xiaomi notes but the problem is that not everybody wrote in their ad “Samsung Galaxy Note 10”, some just wrote “Note 10 for sale” so you won’t be getting those results if you search for “Galaxy Note 10” and this is all thanks to Xiaomi which purposefully polluted the internet with their phones just so that people get to see their phones too and maybe, just maybe someone will become a fan of theirs and start buying their phones…
As for Note 20+… we wish you success Samsung, but clearly you lost a bunch of clients with these stupid decisions to remove features instead of adding more. Don’t get us wrong, if the Note 10+ or Note 20+ will be your first phone in a long while then go for it, its still a great phone and you won’t miss out on functions you don’t even know were there but if you already own a Note 9, then don’t buy a Note 10+ and not even a Note 20+ because that would be more like a DOWNGRADE and not an actual upgrade.
