Lying to a partner to convince them to have sex could soon be illegal under proposed laws. Women lie to men all the time, perhaps 100 times more often then men lie but this is not going to target women.
This utopian law is going to target men and it will only have some collateral women victims here and there.
Why? Its simple, its a known fact that men sek sex most of the time while women are passive and most will just say “yeah I lied to him I was this and that but it wasn’t for sex, you know us women don’t actively seek sex.”
So the New South Wales Law Reform Commission recommended that if a physical relationship eventuated after a person was dishonest about themselves, sexual assault (rape) charges should apply.
The proposal contains a clause in regards to liars and people who ‘fraudulently induce’ others into sexual activity.
‘We propose that the law should provide that a person who is fraudulently induced to participate in sexual activity does not, in law, consent to sexual activity,’ the Commission said in its review of consent laws.
Sydney University criminologist Andrew Dyer told 10 Daily the proposed changes were profound.
‘Telling someone you love them when you don’t, pretending to be rich and well connected when you are not, claiming educational achievements that you don’t possess, denying a complex sexual history – say, with same sex partners – could all conceivably count as fraudulently obtaining sexual consent,’ he said.
The reforms would cover conversations on dating apps such as Tinder as well as real-life encounters.
They would apply to people of all genders and would forcing people to be careful about what they say about themselves to prospective lovers.
‘If the boast that you have made induces somebody to participate in sexual activity with you, then you are liable to spend a long time in jail,’ Mr Dyer said.
The proposal comes as research shows people tend to lie when they are trying to impress prospective partners.
NSW Attorney-General Mark Speakman has requested for anyone with views on the proposal to lodge a submission to the Commission by Monday November 18.

Men should get jailed for lying about themselves to get sex. Men do this all the time. Women not so much because it is easier to find partners. Better yet, people should just get to know their potential partners better- if they are lying or not.
