The former Ohio high school cheerleader accused of killing and burying her newborn girl days after prom apologized to the baby’s father and walked free on Friday, according to reports.
Brooke Skylar Richardson, 20, of Carlisle, will serve three years of probation after being found guilty Thursday of gross abuse of a corpse — but acquitted of aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment charges.
Judge Donald Oda sentenced Richardson to seven days in county jail, but she was credited for time served. If she violates her probation, she can be locked up for up to a year in jail.
Addressing the courtroom Friday before being sentenced, Richardson made a groveling apology, saying, “I am sorry. I can sometimes be selfish, but I’m getting better. I’m forever sorry,” according to People.
“I’ve hurt a lot of people. I am really, really sorry. And I understand,” she added.
Richardson’s father, Scott Richardson, also addressed the court and asked for his daughter to be released.
“My daughter is suffering from an eating disorder and we are concerned about her health,” he said.
Ohhhhhhh poor girl…. we’re all worried about her diet. These people… they have no souls. They are Satanists.

I mean, this might seem like some kind of insane joke that this woman is literally allowed to kill an infant and bury it in the backyard and face zero consequences, but what you have to understand is that a woman can never face any consequences for her behavior, ever, even this.
Understand that its not only she who will go to hell, the judge will go too for such a heinous action.

You people at EU times will never understand the American system, yet you condemn it. It wasn’t the JUDGE that found her NOT GUILTY, it was the JURY. The judge can’t punish her for murder if she was found not guilty! The sentence she got is for “abuse of corpse” because she buried in in her yard- which you are not allowed to do. So, the judge can’t go to hell, as you say. Maybe the jury? Well, maybe it is GOD who will judge who goes to hell, and not EU Times!
She did not make an abortion, the child was born normally and she murdered the baby girl, stop spreading false information. Maybe the writer of the story got it wrong as you say and its the jury who is guilty of this but if this is the case its even worse. Its one thing for 1 person (judge) to make a bad judgement but for a GROUP of people (jury) to make a wrong judgement is even worse. Of course you are inclined to protect your fellow Americans but whatever you say the fact of the matter is that this girl KILLED a baby and got no prison for it and there is nothing to “understand”. Nobody wants to “understand” the devil and its motivations but Satanists. In case you think you fixed it by blaming it on the jury, I think you actually made it worse.
You don’t know anything. Were you at this girls trial? No you weren’t, so you are ignorant. There was no proof that she killed this baby. She said it was still born. Not all babies are born alive, if you men don’t know that you are stupid and shouldn’t be writing articles on childbirth. The jury consists of a group of people, which means they all agreed. The American system does not convict on suspicion alone.
This was a tragic story and the jury could not find her guilty of killing the baby. The girl has psychological problems, it is not about her “diet” as you say, but eating enough to stay alive. She was afraid of her parents reaction. What do you expect when the entire western world thinks it’s Ok to abort? At what point does killing babies stop? Where was the father of this child who used her & dumped her? The girl is a victim too.
