Around 200 activists from all over the country have stormed a pig farm as part of a protest against the factory farming industry in the UK.
Activist group Meat The Victims UK arrived at Sandilands Pigs near Laughterton, Lincoln, in their droves at around 11am and have been at the farm all day.
The group say that they want to ‘expose the reality of factory farming’ to the public and 100 activists are inside a farrowing house interacting with pigs.
Videos from the scene show the activists wearing white suits and masks inside one of the huts, while another 100 people are outside with signs and posters.
Activist Chris Hines told MailOnline that the group wants to make the pig farming industry ‘more transparent’ and let the public know the truth behind their meat.
He said: ‘Around 100 activists who have come from all over the country are inside the farrowing house now, calmly interacting with the mother pigs and piglets.
‘The mothers are in farrowing crates. The space inside a crate is enough for them to take a few steps and they can stand up and sit down, they can’t turn around.
‘They will be in there for about six to eight weeks while they let the pigs suckle. The idea behind them being in this is so they don’t crush the piglets.
‘They only have a few inches to move around – if these were dogs there would be outrage.’
Mr Hines also explained that the activists did not chose Sandilands Pigs for any specific reason except to show that this is the standard type of farm in the industry.
Joey Carbstrong said: ‘The message is that these places operate in secrecy, the public are funding something and they have no idea what goes on in there.
‘We are trying to bring what happens in here into the light.
‘We want to advocate for a plant based lifestyle, a vegan lifestyle so that these places don’t exist and animals are free.

Vegans appear to be under the impression that if factory farming ceased to exist, millions of cows, pigs and chicken would be suddenly free dancing around in nature smelling flowers and chasing butterflies!
When mentally ill people just throw simpleton words which they chant over and over again, for them its simple, all they do is just throw some schizophrenic words out there and who knows other schizophrenics might like them and copy them but for us, we have to waste time and words to rationally explain why those sickos are wrong.
Again, as we said, over and over and over again thousands of times now, liberalism is a severe form of mental illness which must be banned internationally and treated in mental asylums. These sickos just go out there and throw out simpleton words “set animals free”, “the earth is flat”, “tolerance not hate”, “our bodies our choice”, etc. then we have to waste precious time to explain these simple memes because what those psychopaths are doing here is basically meme war. They don’t bring any arguments, logics, facts, nothing, just pure schizophrenic memes.
Alright so let’s address this insane meme “set farming animals free”. Where would those cows and pigs go? What would they eat? How long would they survive? Have they ever watched an Animal Channel or Nat Geo Wild program? These DOMESTIC animals have been living in human captivity for thousands of years and went through countless generations of selective breeding, these animals do not have the skills or instincts to survive in the wild. They would all end up as easy prey for wolves and bears in the European and American world and easy prey for lions and other predators in the African world.
Sure life finds a way and a few of them might survive but what the hell are they talking about? There are already wild chickens (red junglefowl) pigs (boars) and wild cows (buffaloes)… their species isn’t endangered whatsoever so there is no need to set free ALL domestic cows and pigs to repopulate the wilderness or something.
If anything such an insane move would result in the extinction of the domestic animals which have become their own species after thousands of years of selective breeding. These people are insane genocidal maniac!
Also we humans are omnivorous, just like pigs, dogs, chickens, bears and many other species. We consume both meat and vegetables. We can’t survive on just one of them.
