The cutting edge laser system’s characteristics still remain a top secret, despite it already having been deployed for military service. While some experts expect it to serve as an air-defence system, capable of downing both enemy jets and missiles, others suggest it could be used in electronic warfare, blinding sophisticated enemy systems. Gizmodo is spinning this, saying that “the evil secret agent racist nazi monster Russian aliens from planet Mars’s hell” (this is how the US media is portraying Russia) wants to “attack European countries” with this new laser, specifically Poland and Romania. What a joke, no wonder the Russians have had it with America. Quite honestly speaking considering how aggressive, manipulative and hypocritical USA is towards Russia, Putin is a bit too soft for me and that kind of annoys me. For God’s sake this is an air defensive weapon for jets and rockets, if you wanna be paranoid and schizophrenic about something, be about RS-28 Sarmat or how NATO LITERALLY calls it “Satan 2” which is a hypersonic stealth nuke, impossible to stop by ANY defense missile systems in the world, including Russia’s own S-400. So you see? We’re right when we say that the American sphere is trying to portray Russia as “evil secret agent racist nazi monster Russian aliens from planet Mars’s hell”. They literally called RS-28 Sarmat, “SATAN 2”.
So anyway continuing with the story…
The Russian Defence Ministry has published a video, featuring the deployment process and combat preparations for the Russian combat laser system “Peresvet”, which entered experimental combat service with the army on December 1. After undergoing a special briefing, soldiers, operating the “Peresvet”, now practice the timely execution of all the cutting edge system’s deployment stages.
Little is known about the laser system, first revealed during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address to the federal assembly on 1 March 2018. It is expected to be an air-defence system that can track and shoot down hostile aircraft and missiles. Some suggest it will be tasked with “blinding” sophisticated enemy systems, making them inoperable. The naming was chosen by Russian citizens via online voting.
During his address to the Federal Assembly, President Vladimir Putin shocked observers when he said that Russia’s progress in laser weaponry was “not just a concept or a plan,” and that the army was already being equipped with combat lasers. But what are these weapons actually for? Veteran military analyst Viktor Murakhovsky may have the answer.
“Most likely, this system solves air defense and missile defense tasks,” Murakhovsky, editor-in-chief of Arsenal of the Fatherland, a Russian military publication, explained. “The use of a laser beam is far more economical than the use of standard anti-missile missiles. At the same time, its accuracy is far greater,” he added.
“I do not want to reveal more details. It is not the time yet. But experts will understand that with such weaponry, Russia’s defense capacity has multiplied,” Putin added.
