A Netherlands based action group called “We Gaan Ze Halen” (We are going to get them), wants to transport refugees from Greek camps to the Netherlands.

The group says the conditions in Greek refugee camps is “a humanitarian disaster”, especially for children who are at risk for physical and sexual violence.

Their initial idea was to travel with a bus from to Greece and start transporting refugees to the Netherlands, where the conditions are mostly better.

But the action group had a false start as the bus broke down. They were forced to repair the bus and some continued their journey by cars.

By handing a letter to Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras the group aims to get legal travel documents for the refugees.

Dutch Secretary of Justice Mark Harbers had already stated that it is illegal to transport people who don’t have a resident status.
