So China has basically just legalized the EXTERMINATION of all rhinos and tigers in the world just so they can use their body parts in Traditional Chinese Medicine. If anyone of you even care about these animals, now its the time to obtain a pair or two of these animals and grow them in captivity. Push for your local Zoo to import a pair of these animals and become the Noah’s arc.
There’s 1.5 billion Chinese in China and if just 1% of them decide they need a rhino horn for whatever quackery medicine they think they need, well now, do you think there are even 15 million rhinos alive in the entire world? They are just gonna hunt and kill each and every single one of them until the last one of them, legally or illegally and they are gonna pay Africans to poach their jungles too.
This is so sad, all of this just so a bunch of idiots drink “magic potions” in China. Why can’t they at least grow these animals in farms like they grow cattle for example? Why do they have to go after the wild ones? Is it good that these soulless bastards exterminated the white rhino just back in March 2018?? If enough zoos had the white rhino in captivity both male and female, the white rhino wouldn’t have become extinct now. So think about it, zoos just may be the only last hope to save these animals from evil humans.
As for those Africans poaching their own rhinos…. well apparently their average IQ of 70 isn’t sufficient to understand that hey you kill one rhino, rub your hands that you earned a couple of bucks from the Chinese, then kill another one and another and another until, WOW? What happened to all the rhinos??
You can’t even blame those poor Africans that much, their heads doesn’t help them but the Chinese on the other hand? Their average IQ is among the highest in the world, what’s their excuse for being so soulless with these animals?
Ecologists and animal rights activists are not really that pissed about this, except for a couple of news outlets such as EcoWatch:
China alarmed animal rights activists around the world Monday when it weakened a 25-year-old ban on the trading of tiger bone and rhinoceros horn, the Huffington Post reported.
China said the controversial parts would now be allowed to be used for medicine and research at certified hospitals. The government further said the parts would only be sourced from farmed animals, but conservationists say that it is hard to tell whether parts come from legal farming or illegal poaching.
“With this announcement, the Chinese government has signed a death warrant for imperiled rhinos and tigers in the wild who already face myriad threats to their survival,” Humane Society International wildlife program and policy senior specialist Iris Ho said in a statement. “It sets up what is essentially a laundering scheme for illegal tiger bone and rhino horn to enter the marketplace and further perpetuate the demand for these animal parts. This is a devastating blow to our ongoing work to save species from cruel exploitation and extinction, and we implore the Chinese government to reconsider.”
