The deadly shooting of 20-year-old Eric Torell who had Down’s syndrome and autism in August has received great attention. Well since the mainstream media calls migrants as old as 35 and even 40 “children” then we figure we call this guy here a child too especially since he’s got Down’s syndrome which makes him behave like a child…
New information reveals that three officers fired 25 shots. Three of those hit Eric – one in the stomach and two in the back one of which was deadly.
Eric’s father is shocked. Police say they felt threatened and shot in self-defence because of what Eric was holding. “They say it was a replica of a gun. It wasn’t, it was a miniature toy rifle for a five-year-old.”
“Absolutely terrible,” says Eric’s mother. 25 shots. The deadly shot in his back. They shot him in the back and killed him.
“They didn’t try to avert the situation. It wasn’t self-defence. It gets worse the more that comes out of this investigation,” she continues.
“Reprehensible” comments on social media say Eric deserved it, his mum says.
“He didn’t do anything bad. It is not like he smuggled weapons from Afghanistan, as some speculate, he can barely talk, he can only say “mum””.
Dennis Töllborg, law professor reporting on police conduct internal investigations doesn’t believe we will find out what happened in Eric’s shooting.
Unlikely any prosecutions he says “They must document as much as possible from the outset. Separate the police officers so that they can’t talk to each other, and investigate the incident immediately.”
Swedish police offers resign daily, to few apply to academy, entry requirements are lowered, certain groups accepted for quotas, while others are rejected despite passing tests.
