France's Macron disapproval rating is disastrous

Emmanuel Macron’s approval ratings have not bounced back. In fact, he’s sinking nearly as quickly as Angela Merkel.

The new poll by Ifop-Fiducial shows the President beset with problems having a 71 per cent DISAPPROVAL rating. That means that less than one-third – 29 per cent – think he’s doing a good job.

The Ifop-Fiducial poll also shows that Prime Minister Edouard Philippe to be more popular than the President with a 64 per cent disapproval rating.

As populist politicians popularity ratings are soaring, the socialist crowd seem to be plunging to new, unseen depths.

This new poll shows Macron to remain one of the least popular politicians, a list which includes Angela Merkal and Theresa May, Britain’s least popular PM.
