A CNN anchor encouraged Americans to begin wearing hijabs to display solidarity with oppressed Muslim women – just hours before a radical Islamist attacked students on a US college campus.
Claiming discrimination against Muslim women is on the rise following the election of Donald Trump as president, CNN’s Alisyn Camerota told Chris Cuomo:
“Maybe there will be a movement where people wear the head scarf in solidarity. You know, even if you’re not Muslim.”
“Maybe it’s the way people shave their heads, you know, sometimes in solidarity with somebody who is going through something.”
The commentary followed a segment in which several Muslim women claimed to be victims of physical and verbal attacks for wearing hijabs, as a CNN lower third displayed, “The Trump Transition: Fearful Muslim women take steps to be safe.”
“I hope I can wear it one day again. I hope I can feel safe enough to do so,” one woman said of her hijab in the segment.
As pointed out by Chuck Ross at the Daily Caller, CNN’s “piece did not note that some of the alleged hate incidents in the aftermath of Trump’s win have been found to be hoaxes.”
One such false charge came earlier this month from a Muslim student in Lafayette, Louisiana, who claimed she was robbed and had her hijab ripped from her by Donald Trump supporters. Lafayette police later revealed the woman confessed she had fabricated the story.
Just hours after Camerota made her statements, a radicalized Somalian refugee drove his car into a crowd of people on the Ohio State University campus and stabbed and slashed several with a butcher knife.
The Somali migrant, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 18, was a student at the campus who had previously complained about the lack of available areas for him to pray.
“I wanted to pray in the open, but I was kind of scared with everything going on in the media,” Artan said in an interview with a student paper. “I’m a Muslim, it’s not what the media portrays me to be.”

Let camarota show up at the station wearing burka, hijab, and niqab and insist on wearing that garb on air for the rest of her contract. Would not happen. Apparently the uneducated blonde dolt has not read up on sharia law, female genital mutilation, enforced child marriage, covering a woman up to her head in sand then stoning her to death as family and friends throw rocks at her and enjoy watching her slowly die. That is what wearing islamic conservative outfit stands for. Misogyny.

Nobody discriminates more against Muslim women than Muslims. Also regarding the whining about praying in the open – the Messiah said we should pray in secret – Matthew 6:6
Too bad they don’t read the Scriptures and learn the real truth.
Clinton News Network should take a hike. Wearing Hijabs is just a way to get women accustom to wearing them, not to show solidarity with Muslims. The news person who suggested that should be fired and deported to a Muslim country if he wants to see women in Hijabs. This is AMERICA!
Islamic doctrine governing women is based on the principle of submission.
Islam does not mean peace as erroneously stated by lying politicians / Journ 0 lists .
Trump will close down clinton news network without govt funding they will go down.
