Dogs can also detect carbon monoxide. They can detect sudden health situations too (low blood sugar). They are even able to detect cancer. Out of the house, they can even alert you to someone up to no good (my dog led me away from my intended direction on a trail once … I can’t prove it, but the only reason I can think of was someone with evil intentions was ahead.
