According to calculations by demographer Carl Haub, about 107 billion people have been born up until now, and 100 billion of them are dead. You are among the lucky 6.5 per cent of humanity that is still alive. For now, anyway…
No matter how down you feel sometimes, take solace in the fact that you are one of the lucky 6.5% (or really a bit more, since this only goes through 2011) of people who are still alive.
