The second day of the International Conference on the Global Fight against Terrorism has kicked off in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The anti-terrorism conference, headed by Iran’s Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, commenced in Tehran’s Summit Conference Hall on Saturday with a message by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Heads of state and high-ranking diplomats from around the world are meeting to discuss strategies to combat terrorism during the two-day conference.
According to a statement of the first day of the conference, the next gathering will be held in the Iraqi capital city of Baghdad next year, IRNA reported.
The conference will wrap up with an address by Salehi on Sunday. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad addressed the two-day conference on Saturday.
President Ahmadinejad said that fighting terrorism requires a common global understanding, adding that terrorism has turned into a major concern for all nations and the security of all nations is being threatened by it.
The Iranian chief executive further noted that big powers have resorted to terrorism “to sow discord, break the unity among nations to impede their progress and take control over their resources and fates.”
Senior officials from at least 60 countries and representatives from several international organizations, including the UN, have attended the gathering. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Afghan President Hamid Karzai are among the attendants.
Iran is among major victims of terrorism, as more than 17,000 Iranians, including senior officials, have lost their lives in various terror attacks since the victory of the Islamic Revolution over thirty years ago.

I think you will find that the USA is the biggest perpetrator of terrorism throughout the world. Learn some history, which incidentally did not start on 11 September 2001! A century or more of invasion and occupation, regime change, exploitation and death by deadly unmanned drones. Until a western leader is brought before the ICC the state-sponsored terrorism will continue.
