Despite the compound where Osama bin Laden died suddenly becoming a place for the curious, the US is under pressure to release photographs to prove the al Qaeda leader is dead.
With many Muslims questioning American assertions over the raid Washington has been forced onto the back foot and is having to clarify more of the details of the operation.
In particular the White House has changed its initial story that bin Laden resisted arrest in a shoot out. It has now been confirmed he was unarmed when he was shot dead, according to euronews.
CIA Director Leon Panetta said Tuesday he thinks a photograph of Osama bin Laden’s body will be released at some point, but that it is up to the White House to make the final call.
A senior administration official said that no decision has been made yet as to whether to release the photo.
“I just think it’s important, they know we have it, to release it,” Panetta said, CNN reports.

It is most unfortunate that so many Europeans are unable to see what Obama stands for. Even African Americans have woken up to the truth of “their black president” and have composed an article to debunk the unconditional Obama supporters / apologists:

That’s not really true Jan. I live in an urban African American neighborhood. And while black people in my neighborhood are somewhat sheepish and apologetic about Obama, they still defend him as a good president. The typical response is that he hasn’t been given a fair chance. Powerful forces are stopping him from doing what he truly wants to do. after waiting so long for a black president, they are unwilling to admit what so many people already know.
The forum article’s answer on excuses 5 and 8 cover the excuse “Obama didn’t have a fair chance” fairly well.
The answer to excuse 10 regards the general issue “Obama volunteered for the job and knew what he would be up to” – if just because he is a lawyer.
From a lawyer one would expect a better solution than raiding a sovereign country, killing a suspect without a trial, and dumping the body in the ocean without due process.
It’s also highly unusual because Wahhabis must be buried in the earth and anonymously (grave not to be found, ever). So the excuse to “bury OBL in the ocean” (= feed him to the sharks) is invalid too.
And if all this is supposed to be “forced” on Obama, at least he should have the courage to speak out and subsequently quit the job voluntarily. But instead, he chooses another 4 years.
