Classified U.S. intelligence documents reveal the close relations that the United States military institution with the family of Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda killed about a week ago
The documents reveal these relationships through the importance of business contracts with the bin Laden group, located in Saudi Arabia and led by the brother of Al Qaeda leader. The Saudi group has captured the largest market for the supply for the U.S. Air Force with very sensitive communication equipment.
According to the document dated September 12, 2009, of which Ennahar holds a copy, the bin Laden group has managed to get 21 contracts since 2001 with the U.S. Department of Defense, which has been equipped with sophisticated communications equipment.
The market also concerned the provision of computer equipment and other means of communication.
Bin Laden group was also responsible for repair and maintenance of equipment.
The total number of contracts won by bin Laden group stands at twelve, or about four billion dollars.
But most astonishing is the continuation of activities between the bin Laden group and the Pentagon after the attacks of September 11, 2001. According to these documents, U.S. intelligence agencies knew about the September 11 attacks three years before they occurred.
