Canon has unveiled its Cross Media Station, an inductive charging station, which allows users to download images and simultaneously charge digital cameras and camcorders by placing them on top of the device.
The tabletop box also allows users to share photos and videos to other users, and features facial recognition which scans both video and picture files to recognise the same person in the footage or still image.
The Cross Media Station is a prototype device with a release date of two to three years away, however we were impressed enough to feature it as part of our coverage of Canon Expo 2010.
