Israeli police say there is sufficient evidence to press charges against Rabbi Mordechai Elon in the allegations of sexual abuse leveled against him by former students.
They said that the prominent religious Zionist rabbi should be tried for allegedly committing indecent acts by force against minors.
Elon called the matter a “terrible blood libel, a complaint without foundation,” by a “person whose stability is doubtful,” Ynetnews reported.
The investigation began in February, after Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein received several complaints alleging Elon to having committed sexual offences against young boys that came to him for advice.
Police investigators said that they have talked to a number of people and two boys have agreed to testify that the rabbi had sexually assaulted them between 2005 and 2006 when they were minors.
Elon, 50, was also the host of a popular TV program on the weekly Torah portion and worked to build understanding and cooperation between the religious and secular sectors, The Jerusalem Post reported.

No free elections, no democracy (as Sharia law states democracy is against Allah’s wishes), no equality for women and the list goes on. Yes, those things invented by Arabs are true but they happened when there were less opposition to Islam and they could live in the ‘House of Islam’, as opposed to today when they have to live in the ‘House of War’ because people know what Islam is. Now with the current interpretation, Islam is really a violent religion. Look where the wars are in the globe (all 30 or so in all). Most of these wars have been and are started by Muslims who can not get along with their neighbors. Nuff said.
Unfortunately, Mr. Miller like many americans, is ignorant of Islam, its history and teaching. Arabs before Islam were unlettered, ignorant tribes that were living in constant state of warefare. It is Islam that brought out their period of ignorance to become the world leaders in many fields. Mohammad ben al-gawarizmi (invented algorithm), Mohammad ben Jaber invented Algebra. Mohammad ben Sena (Avecena as he was known in the west) was the father of the science of Medicine and so on. No doubt, because of leaving Islam and adopting the western systems that reduced them to the state they are in now.
Is it ignorance, or enlightenment to worship a meteorite that fell from the sky when there was no science to explain what the object was? Is it honest to encourage people to spend their life savings to visit Mecca to participate in this worship?
What would happen to the average Muslim’s faith if the caretakers at Mecca acknowledged the truth?, and what would happen to the industry surrounding Mecca taking advantage of the ignorant, but faithful Muslims who made the long trek from their homelands to fill the pockets of the merchants of Mecca? How many Billions have been swindled from the faithful?
Early Christians, not Muslims discovered that the Earth was not at the center of the solar system. They were not the first, but they built Universities, and Hospitals to spread enlightenment, and care of their neighbors.

Forwards or backwards is all a manner of perspective! I depends on which way you are looking, and what you are using for your compass. Are you guided by logic?, or emotion? Do you belive in Right & Wrong?, do you believe anything is absolutely right, or wrong? Is good, and evil dependent on what’s good and bad for yourself. When you come to a conclusion, know why you have come to that conclusion, and can defend it using logic rather than emotion. Then you will be on the path of enlightenment, and understand why your question is a little “silly”:)

Judaism is a very immoral religion based on supremacism and primitive superstition. It’s a shame this religion has not been banned for its destructive influence on Western society. In fact, all Abrahamic religions should be banned considering the way many “believers” of either religion are brainwashed to the point of utter ignorance and hatemongering, which makes them very dangerous tools in the hands of religious leaders.
I agree somewhat, but that all religions are man made and based on mans attempt to prove oneself worthy of heaven. There are other religions that is also man made to prove there is no heaven, and no accountability that ones sins or crimes will be punished in this life, or in the afterlife.

When the Arabs started to follow the religion of Islam. They were the world masters in mathmatics. Modern math is based on their discoveries 1400 years ago or more. Now they have been reduced to worshiping a meteroite they saw fall from the sky at Mecca. Their religion could keep them mired in mysticism and bound to this planet for another 2000 years left to their own theology.
If you care to check the groundwork for the science of Astronomy, and Physics were laid by pious Christians who believed the Creator’s laws applied on earth, and in the furthest reaches of the Creator’s creaton.

He apparently has studied the history of law and this falls under the category of a Lacunae Legis, a gap in the law. If anyone has studied the history of Judaic law and the interpretation thereof one will find literally millions of these exceptions in the interpretation and application of the law. Certainly these shift in different historical situations.
Areas of lacunae legis include laws concerning: Marriage, Adultery, Euthanasia, Abortion, Debts, Employment, Property. Basically everything that is important to humans. The historical context provides the frame for the interpretation of inviolable religious texts. So in some historical circumstances it has been perfectly okay for a man to “know” a boy in a more than formal way.

You are not sticking to the points. Just because some orthodox groups within Judaism think (or interprets the Talmud) that molesting young boys is fine it does not make whole of Judaism guilty of the same.
I am sure you remember Waco, Texas. Koresh thought that marrying several young girls at the same time is fine. Does it make Christianity guilty of promoting marrying several underage girls at the same time? The answer is NO.
You can not take an extreme view of an orthodox extremist group within a religion based on interpretation of their Book and extend it to the whole religion saying this is what Judaism or Christianity is all about.

I never gave my opinion on the molesting of young boys, I just gave my opinion of my years of research on Jewish law & customs. 10 simple laws have been litigated in some thousands of pages dating back thousands of years.

You got to be joking. It is not spelled out that it is punishable? So whatever is not spelled out as punishable one can do? This is an inverted logic and it is laughable. They may not have spelled it out either way because they may not have thought of it at the time. Now you can spin it in the reverse.
I am sure at the beginning there were no laws for speeding but later they added it for whatever reason. The Talmud can not be revised (possibly it should be) so the conscience of the religion need to do it. There are many rabbis who speak out against this crime. I think you are comparing apples to oranges.
The Bible also does not mention the punishment, so Christians are also OK to molest little boys (even if some priest think so – but those are punished by the conscience of the people)?
You might not find a passage that promotes men to have sex with young boys, but you will also not find a passage that punishes it. If there were no laws that forbade speeding, and no law that imposed a fine for speeders. What would be the effect on the highways?

According to the Talmud which is the Jewish law. Has much to say on this matter back to Babalonian times. A boy is not a man until he is Barmizvahed!, and consentual sex with a boy up to that time is allowed!

You logic is based on some assumptions. Arguably, I could say that by ‘Man’ the law might have meant to generalize, that is, ‘Man’ could include all males. If we assume this (just the same way as you made assumption in your statement), the law by God forbids ‘lies’ with all males.
Ultimately, you have to do what in your heart you think is right. My heart tells me that sexual intercourse with boys is NOT right no matter who is doing it, Jew, Christian or Muslim.
If God did not want Jews to have sexual relations with young boys he would have included the Ban in the 10 Commandments.
