There is a lot of hay down here and it is incredibly cheap, $20 USD a bail which is about a half ton of hay. I think that people should take action themselves. If anything it would make the clean up process that much easier.
This is a good idea and does work, but the sheer amount of hay needed to clean up the oil makes it completely impractical. Good on these two gentlemen for their ingenuity, but this would only work on a small scale.
Brilliant! Farmers are always the smartest problem solvers–they HAVE to be. It’s a matter of survival born of common sense.
But…this is to simple and no doubt The Authorities won’t let them do it. Why would they when BP, Halliburton etal. could make billions more using expensive, ineffective measures.
