Have you noticed that technology is not evolving anymore and when it does, it only makes small leaps as if they were intentionally limited by someone?
What you are about to read would probably shock you. You were probably one of those who thought that the technology would evolve faster if it could but it’s not possible so that’s why it doesn’t. Well the truth is that where is WILL, many things can be achieved and if someone wants to make someone it won’t say “it’s impossible” but instead he will try to achieve its goal.
In this article we will present you actual proof of how computer parts’s evolution is purposefully stagnated.
Are they (producers) saying that there is no one on this planet that can make break-through discovery which can benefit all the small people? Someone who can invent a 100THz CPU just like that, sudden and unexpected!
Maybe there’s a big government + corporations agreement/conspiracy NOT to advance technology too fast so that they can milk us out of our money as much as they can and still keep us under control. Maybe they’re scared of the idea of small people having powerful computers. Or maybe they are scared of hackers with strong computers or something.
Fast technological advancement is also not profitable for them. And since is all about profit and not about human evolution, they won’t give a damn about it.
Let’s give an example of HDD evolution.
When the market is used with slow evolution such as this: 320GB in 2005, 750GB in 2007, 1TB in 2008, 1,5TB and 2TB in 2009, probably 2,5TB and 3TB in 2010 and 4TB for 2011, why would they be interested in a sudden big leap of let’s say 100TB for 2010? Would a big leap be profitable for them? No way! They want to “advance” the technology as slow as possible so that they can get as much money out of our pockets as possible.

CPU Stagnation
Current CPUs are blocked at only 3 – 4GHz. Processors haven’t even reached 5GHz yet and you rarely see a 4GHz processor. The 3GHz CPU was released in 2002 by Intel. We’re in 2010 and CPUs are still blocked at 3GHz with slight improvements such as dual core, quad core, bigger Cache and faster FSB but the main speed still remains at only 3GHz in 8 years of “evolution”. Could you imagine that? 8 years have passed and the CPUs are still blocked at 3GHz?
Scientists from IBM have invented, tested and made public a 500GHz CPU 4 years ago, in 2006. The team also said that “it is possible to make chips run at 1000 GHz (1THz) at room temperature”.
Since then nothing has been heard of this miraculous processor.
HDD Stagnation
Since HDD evolution has already been discussed above, we will simply just share a link with you from an interesting story where an American corporation called Colossal Storage has invented a 100TB HDD in 2004 and a break-through 1,2PB HDD (1200TB or 1,200,000GB) in 2006. They also said that the 1,2PB HDD wouldn’t cost more than $750 which would be affordable for almost anyone. I would certainly buy not just one but 4 such Hard Drives. Wouldn’t you buy at least one 1,2PB HDD if it would be available today in 2010 at $750? Some people would say that that the HDD is too big and they would never be able to fill it up, however now with Blu-Ray Movies, PC-Games on 4 DVDs you would fill out one such HDD in no time!
Biggest desktop 3,5 HDD you will find on the market today is only 2TB. Now let’s see how “big” a 2TB HDD is! First of all its real size is 1.86TB (1862GB) and a Blu-Ray Disc movie has 25GB. Some BRD movies are even 50GB (dual layer), so that means a 2TB HDD would only be able to store 37 Blu-Ray movies of 50GB or 74 Blu-Ray movies of 25GB. Do you still think a 2TB HDD is “big”???
Since then, nothing has been heard of this miraculous 1.2PB HDD.

SSD Fraud
SSDs are the biggest fraud just yet! First of all a SSD is a “memory card” for PC. They are just like a memory card that you use for your digital camera or cell phone only bigger in size (not in storage). They are found at the standard size of 3,5 inch for PC and 2,5 inch for notebooks. Some think that SSDs will replace HDDs in time but who knows? Only time will tell.
In this case we won’t come with a link about an invention that they don’t want to release, instead we will use logic.
Smallest memory card is a MicroSD and it has 64GB as of yet! It measures only 11mm in width, 15mm in length and 1mm in thickness.
If they can squeeze 32GB for example in such a tiny card why can they “squeeze” only 512GB in a 3,5 inch SSD?
Let’s use mathematics so we can find out how many Terabytes should a 3,5inch SSD be.
A 3.5 inch SSD is: 4 in × 1 in × 5.75 in (101.6 mm × 25.4 mm × 146 mm) = 376.77344 cm³
A Micro SD size in cm³ is 0.165.
That means 2283 micro SD cards put together will result in a 3,5 inch SSD. 2283 Micro SD cards x 32GB = 73TB (73056GB) SSD. Not to mention that the 64GB Micro SD card is not far from being released, and if you put 2283 64GB cards together you would get: 146TB SSD but yet the largest SSD available today is at only 512GB! Pathetic, isn’t it?
This is absolute proof that the SSD is the biggest fraud possible and that their only purpose is to milk you out of your money.

Optical Discs (CD, DVD, Blu-Ray)
A Romanian scientist has invented in 1999 a disk called Hyper CD-ROM at the size of 10TB and later improved at 100TB and eventually at 1PB.
Remember that this was invented 11 years ago and no one cared! No one still cares! This leads one to believe that corporations already had the technology to produce disks so big but they don’t want to.
The disc is real and has been experimented and confirmed by ISOM Japan in 2009.
Eugen Pavel, the the scientist, has started his own company, called Storex Technologies and he hopes that one day he will get enough money to build a factory line and start producing his large disks.
Greedy corporations screwed just about every piece of technology ever invented with their Digital Restrictions Mania and they have boycotted this technology as we have seen for 11 years now.
Battery
Most durable batteries won’t last more than 10 hours, however a team of US scientists have invented a battery that could last as much as 10 to 30 years of continuous usage without a single charge. A team of US scientists have invented a type of battery which radioactive substances but they are not harmful to the human body. The scientists said that such batteries shouldn’t cost more than $100 and should last for 12 years without the need to be recharged. There is also a version of the battery which contains no radioactive substances at all. This version should last for 30 years without recharging.
Now who would want to produce a 30 years durable battery when they can produce a 10 hours one, so that they can SELL NON STOP!
Some people would ask this stupid question “But even if giant leaps were possible, wouldn’t the cost of production be too high?”
Now the costs of producing a 500GHz processor shouldn’t be much higher than the costs of producing a Pentium 1 100MHz processor. For both CPUs (100MHz and 500GHz) they will use the same substances and elements found on planet Earth. It’s not like they will have to import special materials from another galaxy, thus the price of a 500GHz if it were to be released soon, it wouldn’t have to be released at 1 million dollars or something. This is nonsense and greed.
They will probably and eventually release the 500GHz CPU but in this rhythm it will probably hit the market in 2050 or something. Anyway when it will hit the market, it won’t cost millions of dollars but it will cost as much as a 3GHz processor costs today, meaning that the cost of production isn’t high for a 500GHz processor. Using “the cost of production” argument as a justification on why they don’t want to release the 500GHz processor today is a lie.

Author, you ain’t accurate: there was overclocked transistor, but not processor. Tech has hit against its ceil: heat grows roughly by cubed freq., to low currents make processor vulnerable to electromagnetic noises. Only room now is more efficient architecture & more efficient programming. However, purpose-devoted hardware could have rank of speed about 100 Ghz or even more at actual freq of 1 Ghz.
i could rip apart every single point you make there, as they are all flawed and under-researched, but i wont bother because your ignorance seems to be so all-encompassing that it wont gain me or you anything by me writing the 1000 words it would need. if this comment receives sufficient positive rating, maybe i will bother, so that everyone here can see how much of a fool you are.
I don’t know about computers but I know for sure that we will NEVER go beyond the PISTON ENGINE!
This article is the biggest horseshit I’ve ever read. Do you know anything about computer science and technology at all? First of all the evolution of technology is not slow, it’s extremely fast and even grows exponentially. Obviously you don’t understand this, you just count numbers and you think *why doesn’t this go faster?*. That is of course not how it works. The competition between companies pretty much guarantees that they will always try to produce and sell the most advanced hardware and software to gain more market share. Are you saying they ALL agree with each other to slow down technological evolution? If you are, then you are just as ignorant and stupid as the average 9/11 conspiracy theorist. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you are one. Please tell me you are, so I can laugh at your ignorance and stupidity some more. You are a tool.
dutchbb – If you are so sure that computer technology (the subject of the article; many people making comments can’t seem to even figure that out) is increasing exponentially where are your examples? I’m sitting here on a 4 year old quad core computer that, as far as I can tell, (unless I am willing to go to workstation hardware that will cost as much as a new car), is unable to be appreciably improved upon by even the most current available systems. Go back just 5 or 6 years and if you waited just 6 months to buy a computer you would get a significantly better machine for the same price (I know this since I bought a high end machine in 2004 that is now barely useful to my 7 year old daughter, and another high-end machine in 2006 that was much faster and bigger, but now used by my 9 year old daughter only). This slow down in *performance* in general is what the author is referring to. I won’t say one way or the other that all his arguments are 100% sound or even the reasoning, but it certainly seems to me that desktop PC technology has stagnated quite a bit when you think about it in terms of faster/bigger. For my job faster and bigger is my main requirement.
:) Author; its all about economics. the value of money is shit right now. big corporations know this. so our stagnation is due to them not wanting to invest in products that only a few people can afford. they want to churn out the cheapest product so the most people will buy it. sure, i probably can have technology in my computer that lives up to your expectations, but ill also pay more for it than i would for a house. i agree with the second respondent. be happy. my current computer is a walmart special, and in comparison to computers of my childhood, this is some jetson shit, man!
but the Colossal Storage Corp. doesn’t exist!!!!!!!!
the site is a fake, there aren’t any patents and i can’t find it on google finance….lol
this is a mega FAKEEEE
Quit failing & learn to search then. Found in under 5 seconds

lol slobo :-D
Seems everyone wants something for nothing these days, pirated music, movies, and apps for example. We want the new technology and the biggest and the best processors, memory, and storage. But, on the other hand we have a problem with the people who invent and own rights to the technology making money on it.
I would bet any amount that if any of those who have posted here had the capacity to produce and sell 1GB SD cards you wouldn’t make 2GB SD cards till u exhausted the market for the 1GB cards. Why? Because that will maximize your profit. The “evil corporations” are in it for themselves! OF COURSE THEY ARE! What have you or I done for them? Why would they make your life easier at their expense?
These kind of articles always come off as conspiratorial and reveal this huge injustice put on corporations greed. But it’s really basic economics, just like planned obsolescence.
The same applies to cars. The auto manufacturer is out to make a maximum amount of profit by making cars that only last 10 years. If they make cars that last 150 years, their profits will plummet and they’ll go bankrupt because no one is buying cars. So it’s self preservation.
Just like when we “working class” people try to achieve the highest pay rate from our employer. None of us are philanthropists and we’re all trying to get the most we can from the people we offer our services and products to. Which makes this a massive non-story, but it’s interesting nonetheless.
Simple bottom line: They have to make money to continue funding research for further advances. And if I were them I’d pump as much profit out of the general public as I could too. And I’m sure many of you would too.
…computers will be obsolete by 2025…we’ll revert to pencil and legal pad…
well this might be good for us,
but if we try to look at it in a perspective of the people who will suffer from a sudden leap of technology, like industrial automation, less production of computers and its parts,
what would happen to those people working in such industries, would it be enough to collapse the economy?
well more powerful tools means less work for humans, sounds good isn’t it? but not in the economy.
the name of their game is Planned Obsolescence..

They don’t even mention having a working design. It is a concept. Also, it appears their solution would be a multidisk unit, similar to tape drives. If this were possible, it would be done. Proof of concept is difficult. It like the water car developed (sopoisedly) in the U.S. Nobody ahs ever proven that it is real. All this conspiracy stuff is unfounded. If you are so smart, create your own product and don’t bow down to corporations. If this stuff is possible, you would become a billionaire overnight. Prove it.
What??? We are now seeing 8 core processors. Speed / Ghz isn’t as crucial with multicore technology and increased cache and memory. CPU’s are underutilized. The main bottleneck is the Hard drive. Now with SSD “evolution” you see that bottleneck being removed.
The main issue with speed increases is heat.
What is pathetic is your innability to see the economics behind this. Apparently you have no knowledge of the technology and the mimitations. CF memory fails after a few thousand writes. SSD’s do better. You can RAID as many SSD disks or CF cards together to create any size disk you require. Cost is prohibitive.
The ignorance of the author is astounding. Who the F#$% are you that you think you have the knowledge to even make the arguments that you do. You are extremely ignorant and need to educate yourself.
SSD’s are not the same as CF memory. Different technology, faster technology, more reliable etc. Sure they could make the drives smaller. As you apparently do not know. SSD’s are not 3.5″ they are 2.5″ (Standard laptop form factor). They also require a control board that in many cases adds multiple channels to speed transfer, they contain a processor, cache memory etc.
You are an imbecile.
Man you’re so fucking agitated. Are you electrocuted or something?
Of course there are 3,5 inch SSD’s, you don’t know anything, yet you’re the one who makes the author “imbecile”? You are with no doubt proving that you are the typical imbecile labeling those who you don’t understand as “imbeciles”.
Here’s some 3.5 inch SSD. Is it fucking fiction or something? Am I seeing things?

How about this other one?

Wow, would you look at that…
CPUs underutilized?? LOL maybe they are underutilized by a moron like you. I have a Quad Core + Hyper Threading (shows 8 cpus) and I tell you that its as slow as fuck for me and my needs.
Hey would you like to buy this imaginary 3,5 inch, 1TB SSD that doesn’t even exist?
http://www.a-power.com/product-14705-0-1
Anyway you’re missing the whole point and the point is that there have been scientists who invented great things but corporations just ignore them so they can get more money from us!
But, well what can I expect from an American? You’re just the typical brainwashed dumb American who voted for a nigger to be the leader of your country… :))
Thanks God I wasn’t born American!
I agree. A smartphone being able to record and play 720p video is not an big step, or a $95 MID that does that. My 30kg massive $3K gaming computer could do that 5 years ago. And 3D grathics so real my mother cant belive it is created in real time that is possible on a $400 GPU card, I could do that with $2000 2 years ago.
And paying $200 for the same CPU power (that require less energy) that cost $1000 2 years ago isn’t a big step.
I agree that they are greedy bastard holding out on us. Yeah and 3D screens are not a huge step either, I can get that for free by looking out my windows.
And being able by buy a gaming computer WITH 24″ screen for $500 that can play the latest games is not much improvment over a $2000 4 years ago.
Just because improvment has changed focus doesnt mean it dosnt exist. I for one would think a $500 computer with the same power as a $2000 2 years ago, while using 30% the energy, is a MUCH bigger improvment over a $10000 computer being 50% faster while using 10x the energy.
And before in our history it tock roughly 50 years from and ide started to a working product. And now you are complaining that 5-7 years is “holding” out. Must be nice living in your cynical world.
Nonono they are using this technology secretly in all products allready. In spydevices whitin ofcourse.
Other reason for hiding migth be to get enough advantage to Irn or such that they actually dont stnd a change but dont know that.. maby.. but that smells.
Also if you have tried programming you have noticed how some things have been made hard. That is greed as if made most efficient physically computer becomes forcibly easy to program. Takes too much education to understand wont go on explaining. Software companies like mainly microsoft but are to blaim but:
Another thing you must have noticed how some things that should work wont just work. It used to be very common a litle while ago but earliest computars didnt have that. Today it seems weirdly directed agains doing certain things. Also lots of programming training is needed if you want to write effigient code. Those things are changed in every version of hardware. Self written programs also face weird random problems. That is “because you are not within standard.
Dont worry! These people wont give up their easy jobs just like acters wont. But like acters it wont get easy before you give rich male enugh sex. Same with programming. Problems dont exist with pros computers… = MY CODES RUN PERFECTLY ON THEIRS..
weird.. :) :)
