The colonisation of Britain by Islam continues unabated with the news that an officially recognised Sharia law court is to be established in Wales.
The proposal to start a Sharia law tribunal in Cardiff will give Wales its first such court. Earlier this year it was revealed that around 85 such Sharia law courts already operate in England, many of them with official sanction and force of law backed up by English courts and enforceable by the state.
According to reports, the Sharia Tribunal in Wales is set to be established by the middle of next year.
“What we are trying to do is help the third or fourth generation British Muslims who are growing up to give them the services necessary to make Britain their homeland, rather than saying we actually want to ghettoise ourselves,” Shaykh Siddiqi of the Muslim arbitration tribunal was quoted as saying.
That statement, quoted in the media, reveals precisely the intention of Muslims in Britain: to turn this country into their own, complete with foreign legal systems. There is no other word for this but colonisation.
Think tank Civitas, which produced a book on the creeping influence of Sharia law in Britain called Sharia Law or ‘One Law for All’? has expressed its opposition to the move in Wales.
Book author Denis MacEoin said: “It is Sharia law that is given the prominent position and this effectively means that British law is shoved to one side.
“All citizens have the right to be judged under a single legal system, and that we didn’t bring in the legal system by the back door and that is effectively what is happening at the moment.”
The Civitas estimate of 85 Sharia law courts operating in Britain is based on information gathered from a number of sources. A network called the Islamic Sharia Council, run from a converted corner shop in Leyton, operates 13 tribunals in Britain.
The Association of Muslim Lawyers runs another three and there are three other formal councils. The rest are informal councils whose existence has been revealed from online “fatwa” or decree websites.
Some of these fatwa rulings clearly conflict with British law. For instance, one widely held ruling states that a Muslim woman may not marry a non-Muslim man unless he converts, and if she does, her children should be taken away from her.
In 1996, Parliament passed the Arbitration Act setting out rules under which parties in a dispute have the right to go to an impartial tribunal to get justice without expensive litigation. Muslims lawyers interpreted this as meaning that Sharia courts could act as arbitration panels under the Act. As a result, their decisions are legally binding.

Muslims living in Britain are under orders from Sharia courts to regard “fighting with Britons and Americans as a religious duty” this shocking new book, written by an expert in Islam, has revealed. – There is no requirement to register a marriage according to the law of the country;
– Polygamous marriage (that is, two to four wives) is legal; and
– A Muslim lawyer has to act contrary to UK law where it contradicts Sharia.
