US President Barack Obama tells leaders of EU member states that letting Turkey become a member of the European Union would send an “important signal” to the Arab and Islam world. Comment made during the EU-US summit in Prague, the Czech Republic.
It would send an important signal alright, but what kind of signal would it send? Will it benefit the EU? What will the Islamic world understand from Turkey joining the EU? They will understand that the EU is no longer Christian and no longer European but a melting pot just like America or even worse, where they (Muslims) can do whatever they please because they are “home”. The problem is that America was founded on immigration and multiculturalism but the rest of the world was not. In 100 years Asia will remain Asian, Middle East will remain Semitic (Jewish-Arabic), Africa will remain African, America will remain like it always was, multicultural, but Europe on the other hand will become Islamic.
During a town hall meeting in France, Obama urged Americans and Europeans to put aside differences to forge a true partnership. (April 3)

For god’s sake, Turkey is not even in Europe. Its in goddamn Asia. But completely cutting off ties with America is a dumb idea. Without US’ assistance, how can Europe stand against the increasingly powerful China? The threat of chinese attack, be it military or cultural, is very much palpable.
