Peer-reviewed studies have shown mixed results with respect to Ivermectin and Covid-19 with some showing slight improvements while others suggesting that it has no effect. A report published in the journal Antiviral Research last year mentioned that Ivermectin “warrants further investigation for possible benefits in humans.” However further examination showed that the dosage required to achieve an antiviral effect is significantly higher than what has been approved for human use and it could possibly prove to be toxic. Since then, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned against using the anti-parasitic drug in treating Covid-19 as the evidence is not solid enough to come to a conclusion based on multiple small-scale studies. In March this year, the European Medicines Agency said that the available data does not support the use of Ivermectin for COVID-19 outside well-designed clinical trials. The EU body noted that results from clinical studies are varied and most of the studies reviewed by the EMA were small and had additional limitations. Find it online at http://bmpharmacy.net which is an India seller of a generic brand of it known as ivermectol.
