Two teenage girls were hospitalized after they were brutally attacked by half a dozen ‘minors’ at an ice rink in France, according to reports.
The horrifying incident unfolded in the city of Nice in November, but after the investigation was recently upgraded to ‘attempted homicide,’ a slew of arrests were made last week.
The victims, both 15, were enjoying leisure time at Jean-Bouin ice rink on November 13 when they were ambushed for unknown reasons by a mob.
The girls were punched and kicked, and also struck with ice skates many times in their faces and heads during a scene described as a ‘rare act of gratuitous violence’ by witnesses.
After a lengthy probe, authorities determined the assault was more serious than initially thought and reclassified the investigation as “attempted homicide on a 15-year-old minor.”
Six suspects, mostly female, were apprehended last week.
“On March 22, the police arrested the suspects – all domiciled in Nice – who were placed in police custody and in judicial detention for the youngest. Police custody is only possible from the age of 13,” Actu 17 reports.
Five of the suspects reportedly admitted to participating in the attack during questioning.
“Given the very young age of those concerned and in particular the principle of criminal irresponsibility of those under 13, a psychiatric expertise is scheduled for March 29,” the prosecution explained.
The suspects have since been released amid further legal proceedings.
Mob attacks, often carried out by youths of foreign backgrounds, have become increasingly commonplace in Western Europe, as Infowars frequently reports.
